Provide heating and cooling to data centers, manufacturing plants, and other large industrial centers.
Heating and cooling comprise about half of all energy use. That makes geothermal energy ideal for the large industrial complexes, manufacturing plants, and data centers, and office buildings that consume huge amounts of both electric power and thermal energy. Using thermal energy directly is efficient because it avoids the inefficiencies of converting it to electric power. And, due to strains on grid-supplied power, energy-intensive businesses are challenged to find a clean, reliable, resilient, and low-cost supply of heat and power.
GreenFire’s GreenLoop technology accesses geothermal reservoirs and hot springs to deliver direct use heating and cooling. Each solution is created based on downbore information (e.g., well geometry, reservoir characteristics, well productivity history) and direct use heating surface information (e.g., area of heating or cooling demand, distribution characteristics, surface facilities characteristics). Advanced GreenLoop Modeling is performed to select and optimize one of multiple GreenLoop Designs for the specific geothermal resource. The resulting design is then deployed by GreenFire Energy and strategic partners, working in collaboration, to offer a full range of project capabilities. Solutions come complete with GreenLoop Modeling, GreenLoop Designs, and capabilities.

Direct Use GreenLoop Designs
A design is an implementation of GreenLoop architecture engineered for a particular resource. GreenLoop Designs include either a Downbore Heat Exchanger (DBHX) to obtain and transport the heat. A Surface Heat Exchanger (SHX) is also available for removing non-condensable gases.
